The Air Tindi Dash 7 Plane Chain – C-GCPY is an authentic piece of Northern aviation history, crafted from the retired aircraft skin of our de Havilland Canada Dash 7, in collaboration with Plane Chains.

Built in 1984 (MSN 101), C-GCPY began her career in New Zealand before flying across Europe and Greenland. She joined Air Tindi in 2012 and was based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, where she operated throughout the Canadian North until her retirement in 2016. From tundra and Arctic coastline to remote northern communities, C-GCPY carried passengers, freight, and medical teams through conditions where aviation is a vital lifeline.

Hand-cut from original panels of C-GCPY, each Plane Chain carries the aircraft’s unique history. Variations in colour, markings, and surface detail are part of that story. No two pieces are ever the same.

This genuine aircraft tag honours Canadian engineering, Northern resilience, and Air Tindi’s commitment to serving the North.
